FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Short answers for parents and licensed centres. Need a person? Write support@kidease.ca.
Do I need an account to search?
No. Guests can search the map, open a listing, compare centres, and send a contact note. Sign in when you want to save, request a spot, or message a live centre.
How do you use my location?
Only while you search, and only after you allow it. We never request background location. You can always type an address, city, or postal code instead.
What does Live mean?
The centre has claimed the listing and KidEase has approved it. Fees and open spots come from the provider. Unclaimed pages are still licensed — details may be out of date.
How do I claim my daycare?
Open Claim your daycare, find the existing listing, enter the verification code we send, and upload the current provincial licence. We review every claim.
Does KidEase list nannies or babysitters?
No. KidEase is a licensed daycare directory only. We do not list nannies, sitters, or unlicensed care.
How do I find licensed daycare in my city?
Search by address, city, or postal code, or open a city directory such as Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Quebec City, Hamilton, or Halifax. Guests can browse without an account.
How do childcare subsidies work on KidEase?
KidEase does not process subsidy applications or host government forms. Reduced CWELCC fees are set by each province or territory and applied at participating centres. For income-tested subsidies, apply on your province’s official site — start at Childcare Benefits.
Is it free to search listings?
Yes. Searching the map and opening licensed centre listings is free. Sign in only if you want to save centres, request a spot, or message a live listing.
